9 hours x 14 minutes x 17g (19x57cm) (2024)
This piece was made in response to the Baltic's open call. Produced during my ARIM, it demonstrates the parameters of motherhood and sustainability. I had 9 hours of childcare per week, each row took an average 14 minutes and I had 17g left of the charity-shop found red yard left. The piece submitted, in total 78 rows of my abstract line work, seeks to create a rhythm that the viewer can connect with. All materials and tools were either found or passed on to me.
